Take Control of Your Vision

As we age, the natural lens of the eye becomes less flexible, diminishing the eye’s ability to switch its focus from one focal plane to another, a condition called presbyopia. Aging eyes may also develop cataracts, causing the lens to become cloudy or dark.

In order to help presbyopia or cataract patients reclaim their ability to see at far, intermediate and close ranges, Harman Eye Center is pleased to offer three advanced intraocular lens technologies – ReSTOR®,  Toric®, and Crystalens®. Each of these implantable lenses uses a slightly different optical design to help you achieve a more natural range of vision – that means you can see better in many types of situations and to suit your active lifestyle. The choice of a premium lens, combined with the expertise at Harman Eye Center, will result in extraordinary visual results.  The experienced staff of Harman Eye Center will determine which lens is best suited for your visual needs and that will fit your lifestyle.

Premium Lifestyle Lens Options

ReSTOR®

The ReSTOR lens is a revolutionary multifocal lens that improves vision in a range of distances. The lens corrects for both cataracts and pre-existing cornea astigmatism simultaneously by delivering precise astigmatic correction, predictable outcomes, and quality distance vision without glasses. An innovative optical technology called “apodization” makes the ReSTOR lens uniquely effective, especially when placed in both eyes. It lets cataract patients see the whole picture clearly, usually without glasses.

Toric®

If you are planning to have surgery to remove a cataract, there is now an additional option. The IQ Toric implantable lens makes it possible to treat the cataract and correct the corneal astigmatism at the same time. Your eye The unique design of the Toric IOL makes it possible to reduce or eliminate corneal astigmatism and significantly improve uncorrected distance vision. Toric lens provides quality distance vision, independent of eyeglasses and contact lens.

Crystalens®

Crystalens is an FDA approved lens implant that corrects presbyopia in addition to moderate myopia and hyperopia. Presbyopia is a common occurrence in those over the age of 40 and it is a result of the gradual loss of focusing ability that occurs as we age. The Crystalens is an accommodating lens designed to mimic the eye’s natural ability to focus at all distances. Unlike fixed lenses, Crystalens has a unique hinge design that allows the lens to focus on objects at varying distances using the eye’s natural muscle.
