Peter Sheridan, O.D.
Dr. Sheridan has been providing eye care to patients for over 20 years and has a particular interest in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular disease.
He attended Drexel University before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Sheridan is a member of the Virginia Optometric Association, the National Glaucoma Society, and the American Optometric Association.
Beginning in mid-September 2026, Dr. Sheridan will primarily see patients at Harman Eye Center’s Amherst location four days per week, while continuing to care for patients at the Appomattox office one day per week. Outside of the office, Dr. Sheridan is happily married and has four wonderful daughters. He and his family enjoy camping and playing volleyball together. As a teenager, Dr. Sheridan earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.
