Amelia (Millie) Taylor, O.D.

Dr. Amelia (Millie) Taylor is excited to serve the Appomattox community as an optometrist. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Liberty University, where she was also a member of the Honors Program. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, graduating summa cum laude.

Dr. Taylor is passionate about providing personalized, comprehensive eye care and has a particular clinical interest in dry eye and ocular surface disease. During her clinical training, she completed externship rotations in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with an emphasis on the diagnosis and management of dry eye and other ocular surface conditions.

She enjoys taking the time to understand each patient’s individual concerns and creating treatment plans tailored to their needs. Her goal is to help patients not only see their best, but also feel comfortable and confident in their vision and eye health.

Outside of the office, Dr. Taylor is an active member of her church in Lynchburg. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and making the most of their time together as a family. She is grateful to call Virginia home and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients and their families throughout the Appomattox community.
