Melissa Gill, PA-C, DMSc

Melissa Gill, PA-C, DMSc, is a highly trained Physician Assistant with advanced doctoral education and a strong foundation in both primary and specialty care. She earned her Doctor of Medical Science and Master of Physician Assistant Medicine from the University of Lynchburg, following a Master of Arts in English. Her doctoral training includes health law, disaster medicine, and healthcare administration.

Melissa’s clinical experience spans family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral health, emergency medicine, and general surgery. She has completed specialty training in ophthalmology, cardiology, pulmonology, wound care, anesthesia, urgent care, pain management, and emergency department ultrasound.

With extensive prior experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant at Harman Eye Center, she brings years of hands-on ophthalmic expertise, including patient assessment, visual acuity testing, refraction, glaucoma and cataract testing, and surgical assistance in LASIK and cataract procedures.

Melissa is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and served two terms as a government-appointed member of the Virginia State Board of Opticians. She is certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care.
