M. Harman, M.D., one of the most experienced cataract
and refractive surgeons in Virginia.

David M. Harman, M.D. is the founder of Harman Eye Center and Medical Director of Eye Surgery Center of Central Virginia. Dr. Harman received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia, and he completed his residency training at the Medical College of Georgia, where he served as Chief Resident. In 1988, he established his practice in Lynchburg, specializing in cataract and refractive surgery.
Dr. Harman is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also
a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Medical Society of Virginia, and the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society.
Dr. Harman has invented instruments for eye surgery and is a respected author of peer review articles in national medical journals. He also served as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia from 2001 to 2004.

| Nancy F. Vilar, M.D., Ph.D. completed her Internal Medicine internship at Louisiana State University and her ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri. She obtained her Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, considered to be the leading eye training program in the United States. As a neuro-ophthalmologist, Dr. Vilar specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of visual symptoms resulting from headaches, migraines and blurred vision. Dr. Vilar has also published several books and journal articles, and is a respected speaker in the field of ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association. Dr. Vilar joined Harman Eye Center in June 2008. |

B. Douglas Haley, O.D. received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Dr. Haley is a member of the Virginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Haley joined Harman Eye Center in August of 1995.

Michael Curl, O.D. received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Dr. Curl is a member of the Virginia Optometric Assocation and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Curl joined Harman Eye Center in August of 2006.

Tracy Scheibe, O.D. received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Scheibe is a member of the Virginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Scheibe joined Harman Eye Center in June of 2007. |
Tabitha Combes, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis and her undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University. Dr. Combes is a member of the Virginia Optometric Assocation and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Combes joined Harman Eye Center in July of 2007.
